UNC Health and Vidant Health Systems are fighting for the Greenville, North Carolina market. Possible merger or acquisition discussions are happening with or without the approval of Vidant. Vidant is a major provider of healthcare in that region, with 1.5 million patients, 12,000 employees and 1.7 billion dollars in revenue.
